Their Community Foundation provides grants to organisations and projects that have a positive economic, social and cultural impact. MedicinesEd was awarded a grant to deliver a series of face-to-face workshops across the Western Downs region of Queensland.
Following the series of workshops:
• peoples’ ability to interpret all aspects of a pharmacy label increased by 36%.
• 70% of participants indicated they were more likely to ask questions of their healthcare professionals about medicines.
Participants’ level of confidence also improved in the following areas:
• 79% of participants felt more confident understanding the pharmacy label on their medicines.
• 76% felt more confident asking their health care professional about their medicines.
• 79% felt more confident knowing where to find trusted information about their medicines.
